Hi! I’m Erin!

I am a multi-disciplinary designer who focuses problem solving.

It all starts with communication. Understanding each other and working together can make all of us something more.

I’m the kind of designer who strongly believes that form follows function. I think that’s how we get our best products, no matter what industry it’s in. I tend to have a bit of a messy process, where I’m willing to experiment and try new things in order to get to the solution that works best for all perspectives.

I often come back with several options, so I’ve never been too precious about any single idea. I believe innovation can come from anywhere so it’s important to always keep an ear to the ground. I’m excited to see where design takes me and what I can learn next.

Consistent craft is crucial.

My first love is woodworking. I’m in awe of this material and its many applications. I’ve grown to respect its living qualities and the challenges that come with that.

I gained a foundation in woodworking from a young age watching and helping my father in his woodshop.

At 19, I went to the Vermont Woodworking School, where I was able to really get my hands dirty and learn from some amazing woodworkers who have shaped the way I see the material.

Working in residential construction taught me how wood creates the skeleton for the spaces we occupy for most of our lives.

Throughout design school, I deepened my relationship with wood through several projects found on my portfolio page.

I’m excited to see what more I can experience
