I am an energetic, creative problem solver with a passion for growth.
Where it all began
I was born in Manhattan and grew up in the tri-state area with my parents and two brothers. My father was always starting new creative projects that would end up piquing my interest. This is where my love for woodworking began.
2016
At 19, I attended the Vermont Woodworking School for a summer course where my relationship to wood changed forever. I gained an eye for detail and a love for precise craftsmanship. I am forever in awe of the fact that despite no longer being rooted in the ground, wood continues to breathe and change shape.
2017-2018
From 2017-2018, I worked for Ritter Home Builders in southern Vermont. I learned how to frame walls, put up drywall, lay tile, update roofing, and much more. I loved learning about home renovations and how the home can become a space of relaxation and comfort. My hunger for growth and learning only increased from here.
2018-2022
I packed up all my things and moved from the East Coast to the University of Utah in order to pursue a bachelor’s degree in Multi-Disciplinary Design with a focus on digital design. Here, I became a sponge for design and developed a love for function. It was here that I learned how to question things and how to create form that follows function.
2022-now
Since graduating, I’ve been working at Walker Edison in West Jordan, Utah. Here I was able to focus more in depth on ready-to-assemble furniture that reaches a more affordable price-point. I manage the fireplace, home office, and youth furniture categories including design, development, and launch. Walker Edison allowed me the opportunity to learn about product development and how to coordinate between all the moving parts of the manufacturing process.
My background has been a bit all over the place, I’ve taught skiing, been a gardener, done residential construction, worked at a woodshop, and more. However, I’ve kept consistent in my professional life my curiosity and willingness to learn new things. I believe I can take pieces from every experience and use it to solve any problem in a creative, intuitive, and meaningful way.
I hope I can take my passion for design, innovation, and creativity further in the rest of my professional career.
